Dutch Delight: The "Bitterbal" (with beer)

Posted by

Cold sunday afternoon in a verry small village, in an old pub.

What is a bitterball (such a funny name ;)), looks weird - but seems cool to share with friends from what we see here ~

MARIANA from Waterloo, Canada

@MARIANA: Yo Mariana! Its a snack, fried, inside is a kind of ragout de veal. Simple but nice with a cold beer. The men I "found" in a bar in the village which is famous (by tourists) for Hans Brinker, the boy that saved our country by putting his finger in the dike (I hope I spells right)

Curly from South Shields, United Kingdom

Deep fried veal sounds pretty good with a pint. Nice image.

Was that taken in Spaarndam? Does this question oficially make me a tourist? I guess so, because I was there as a tourist. Unfortunatly I was to young to have a beer, therefore I missed bitterbals too.

@lux: Genau Mathias: Spaarndam.
